hi all,
attempting to fix my rear electric window as it didnt moved, despite the motor moving..and this is what i was face with...

assuming it cant be repaired...so is it a new motor?
is it part of the locking module aswell(fault code with that too..)

Had this happen twice on my gti both rear doors :lipsrsealed:
You need new window regulator your motor should be ok. Get one with the metal clips :wink:

under the door card is the metal plate ..with 7 or so 10mm bolts, after ive taken the bolts out..i assume the plate is then held with sealant..will it come off with a massive tug(easy now..gutter lovers lol)?

just make sure you seal it back up right as they are known to leak :smiley:

Yh but it has some sealent on it. To be fair i did not reseal mine :lipsrsealed: but then you have risk of leak as said :grin:
The regulator is screwed on the plate. Bit of a b!tch just change regulator cable so best just change whole regulator :wink:

Excellent! I have fault code coming up with The door module anyway, so will just wait til I got the bits to to the lot
