Title: is all mk4 golf suspension/anti roll bars the same?
Post by: gttjames on 31 March 2013, 22:13
Doing some suspension swapping, need some standard shocks/springs and anti roll bar. Does the suspension/anti roll bars off say 1.6 petrol's/1.9tdi's the same as the 1.8t?

Also does anyone know, if I fit the modified anti roll bar to my golf with the more clearance on driveshafts - will it be ok if I don't lower the car ( as might fit the anti roll bar 1st, then get the lowering kit next month say?)

Suspension is different on different models due to difference in weights and also I think the gti suspension is slightly lower
I don't really know about the arb's

But .... Although they are different specs they will still fit as they all have the same fitment just difference strength/thickness springs and arb's

arg right I see, hmm so its to which they left factory on, im guessing some of the v5's/tdi's could have the same

iv read 2 options for anti roll bar 21/23mm - are they interchangeable providing correct bush size is used with bar?
