shame i got to sell it now though ,  :cry: i been offered to do a 6 week intence course at uni before september, the engineering council have put up money so its free so i got no time to spend on here, but fear not im going back to a mk2 gti

Looking a lot better.
I'd sort out the front grill surround, so it's a nice shiny red, makes such a difference to the overall look, and should get you a better price if you're selling.
 If you can't be arsed to spray it, red tape can improve the look , or you could even buy one:
