Evening all
Just joined as a new mk3 owner. (I normally post a fair bit on Pistonheads under the same username)
Bought this quite tidy little Mk3 five door 16v off a young guy here in Plymouth for £400
It's done nearly 160k, but drives really well, and the interior is very clean and tidy indeed.
It had six months or so MOT, but I have just re MOT'd it this week, mainly for peace of mind. I just needed a track rod end and to strip and clean the front calipers due to a brake imbalance.

It would be funny if the previous owner was on here - if so, I'm very pleased with the car!
Plan is to fix anything that needs doing as I go along - it could really do with new front callipers and a set of shocks for starters. I won't be modifying it as such, but I could well "improve" things as I go along, such as Bilstein shock and Eibach springs, that sort of thing.
One thing I might do is invest in a set of Anniversary BBS/style 16" alloys, as I really like the look of them.
I've also got a GF8 Impreza Turbo, so the Golf feels very economical, which is a plus, and is is why I won't be wanting to modify it, performance wise
Cheers for now
