Title: coolant temp sensor and thermostat!!!

Been looking at the engine, and i can't for life of me find them...

WHERE ARE THEY!! LOL

its a mk4 1.8 n/a gti..can someone post a pic up, of there engine so i can get in the right area

Just ran out to take a few pics for you, this is from 2l 8v. Bit less confusing that 20vt but can't see there being much difference..

Not the best as it was pitch black..

If you can work out whereabouts it is, the green tab thing you can see is the coolant temp sensor:

and the thermostat (Really bad picture!)

The bolt you can see to the right of the big pipe that it is connected to, the thermostat is behind there. Bottom bolt is a pain to get to by the way!

Temp sesor will be on the right hand side of the engine, as above look for a green tab.
And stat is on the fron of the lower block behind the dipstick :)
