I've been thinking about what to do for a while now, and have decided that a Compact System Camera is probably the way forward for me. I've been looking at the Nikon 1's and really like the look and the solid feel / build quality and I have read quite a few reviews.
Has anyone got one and is willing to share their views?
Or should I be considering another model of CSC?
I am also liking the price of them as the original models (J1,V1) have come down in price considerably.
Cheers
Dan

I know the Canon one isn't rated highly at all.

The Canon M is much more expensive than the Nikon 1 series.
Have you looked at the Sony NEX cameras? They get very good reviews and are well liked by professionals.
Also take a look at the Olympus PEN cameras too.

i own the samsung NX210 and several lenses. It is a great camera and all my friends that have DSLR's have been surprised at how good it is.

Budget wise im not thinking of pending any more than £350-£400 for the body and one lens kit. My other dilemma is that im going to florida in june so do i wait til i get there and pick one up cheaper or get one now and learn how to use it?
John Lewis are doing the Nikon 1 V1 for £279 atm which is a bargain.

Anybody used these?

the samsung nx210 is currently £410 with kit lense. It's a powerful bit of kit for the money.
