Post by: Melvi on 28 March 2013, 12:43
Hi,

1999, 1.8t, AGU

car has been running really badly, and cutting out on occasions, checked the spark plugs and the 1st two cylinders where covered in oil, when i removed the coil pack they were covered, leaving the spark plugs in a puddle of oil basically, removed the plugs, and they where also drenched at the end of plug ( where they ignite from)

am thinking the rocker cover gasket possibly?? but wuld like some opinions please from you guys please :D

sorry if my discribtion is like a child explaining, bit of a nob

It'll be the valve cover gasket inside the rocker cover, you'll be best off replacing the rocker cover gasket at the same time.
