Hi,
Does anyone know if you can stream music via bluetooth to the standard composition media the GTi comes with, and not have to use the IPOD/IPHONE lead in the gloovebox?

I would've thought so mate, the RCD 510 could do it so i would imagine it'd be available on the new systems.

Really?
My current RCD510 does not, but the Sony in my Moneo does?
I mean you don't need to have a lead connect to the phone, it works just like an air speaker?

Do you have integrated Bluetooth tho'? When you press the Media button on the RCD510, you get options at the top of the screen for CD, SD Card, Media In or Bluetooth Audio.

Streams perfectly to my RNS-510 in the Rocco and the RCD-510 in the Wife's Polo 6R via bluetooth - no cables required, so as stated, I would be staggered if the more modern setup in the MK7 Golf couldn't.
Obviously both cars are equipped with genuine VW bluetooth kits.

Yeah you don't need the cable but as Simon said you do need a bluetooth module, if you have it though you just need to make sur "BT Audio" is enabled on the head unit.
As bluetooth is standard in the mk7 i would expect it to work.

I can confirm that this can be done and very well too. I have a windows 8 phone which I can control via the touch screen.
Also note that I have a work phone too and recently discovered I can pair my work phone for calls and personal phone for music and easily switch about for various combinations

Thanks guys, I havn't got the bluetooth module, so I guess that explains it.
