I'm tempted for this because if i turbocharge my 8 valver would i need this to have correct set-up running etc.
has anyone tried this?

No because at the price of that you can buy a mk4 gti 1.8t 20v donor car and fit the engine then break the rest of car and get some money back!
So 20v your mk3 for the price of that ecu, or spend sh!t loads more and get about the same bhp.

whos got the fastest 8 valver here without boosting and has good figures?

this. plus with the turbocharge adventure, there's just not the same experience and you might end up with something not working proper

Do it if you want, but you'll be wasting money tuning an 8v.

I would have prob wasted loads of money if I had not listened to people on here who know what they are
talking about. Yes you are right, some people think they know it all
