Title: Agu injector size (maths involved)
Post by: beppe2672 on 27 March 2013, 11:57
I know maths is dangerous stuff, but I've been doing some working out trying to figure out what injectors to go for as I'll be making a custom 3" maf housing for my agu. So far I know to keep a/r trim levels the same you need to increase the injector flow rate the same percentage at the increase in surface area of the maf housing. So if my maths has served me right:

Standard agu maf = 2.5" (63.5mm)
New maf housing = 3.0" (76mm)
The increase in surface area is 43.2%

Standard agu injectors @3bar = 205cc.  +43%
So the new injectors should be around the 290-300cc mark.

Is this right? How come people use the Saab red tops(360cc) with the vr6 maf (2.75")
