Title: Well gotta do the dreaded heater matrix this weekend
Post by: carpetviper on 26 March 2013, 20:46
Got the dreaded heater matrix on my 96 VR6 this weekend.

The only good thing I can make from this is my car doesn't have AC.

However there seems to be about 50 different write ups all saying to do it different ways and they all confuse the hell out of me.

Don't suppose anyone who's done it before fancies giving me a hand and I'll buy em a crate of beer or bottle of JD I'd even slip you a few quid lol.

Can't you hear my desperation lol.

Also got the pads to change all way round but I can do them with eyes closed.

Oh and I'm in Sheffield

Done mine a few weeks ago. It's not to hard of a job, just time consuming. A few things to remember. You have to take out the wiper motor to get the the bolts under the scuttle that hold the dash in place, and also the heater box is held in place by three bolts in the bulkhead, there are two behind the heat shield in the centre of the bulkhead and the third one is behind the expantion tank. O and try not too loose too many screws/bolts
