Hello
My wife has a 59 plate 1.4 TSI (122) and just wondering how often should I be changing the cambelt? The local VW garage said every 4 years/ 40,000miles which seems a be frequent to be honest........I have looked in the service schedule but I don't find it that clear to be honest..
I'm running a Mk3 GTi (AGG) and I change the cambelt every 5-6 years/60,000miles the same as an old Mk2 Scirocco I used to run.
Also, can anyone recommend a good VW Specialist in Birmingham?
Many thanks in advance.

Not quite B'ham but Solo in Burton on Trent have looked after some of my older stuff in the past.

It has a chain no belt changing required.

Ok, didn't know that.
How often should it be inspected etc?

Yes, has chain not belt. Contact any VW dealer, they will advise for free:)
