Title: M4 Golf Anniversary/GTI/non GTI - Lower Bumper Grill 'differences' ??
Post by: Boicey on 25 March 2013, 16:43
I have an MK4 Anni, and wanted to change my three lower grille's in front bumper (as they are a tad faded).
I ordered a n/s from TPS, using EKTA system (obviously using my vehicle reg), and was given part number S1J0 853 665 BB41.
Upon arrival the grill has a different 'suffix' (letter on the end of part number, so its clearly been superseded at some point)....but more critical in my opinion, is the fact the horizontal 'slats' are thicker/chunkier than what I had before  :undecided:.
Sooo, basically to cut along story short...is there any diffence between these parts on Annies/GTI's & on the lower spec models....i.e thin horizontal blades on GTI's etc, and fatter/chunkier ones on E's/S's etc.
Many thanks in advance.
Boicey.

They should be all the same on the standard mk4 bumper. The ones from my Euro bumper even fitted straight into my US spec bumper.

Sorted it, called TPS and they noticed that there is two different versions.
Most Golf Mk4 have S 1J0 853 665 B
Anniversary's have S1J0 853 665 C
Problem solved.
