Title: car carpet change question
Post by: willz94 on 24 March 2013, 01:54
hi had a blue golf, now been sprayed black ... had blue dash, carpets, door card plastic etc. fitted new seats and door cards, sprayed the dash and was going to buy new carpets (black) just wondering how much effort and time changing the car carpet will require, i gather the centre console and seats need to come out just wondering what else would need to come out just wondering if anyone knows?  but im currently in my uni halls not at home and cannot check. thanks

can do it easily in a day...you don't need any special tools. I used a Phillips screwdriver, Allen keys for the back seat..and a flathead screwdriver to remove the trim...most of it just pulls off..just be careful with the seat runners..I cracked one of mine slightly...:)

You may be surprised to find rust...perished grommets on the floor...and a good opportunity to check..

good luck!
