Title: is this a k03s hybrid?
Post by: kingaz on 24 March 2013, 00:21: Recently brought a k03s. Ive noticed the blade pattern isnt like that of many k03s's. Is this some sort of hybrid?

Post by: beppe2672 on 24 March 2013, 17:04: Looks like a toyo sport Chinese copy, have a look to see if you have 'TS' stamped anywhere on the casing or 'toyo' etched into the mating surface of the hotside where it bolts onto your downpipe.

The compressor housing and actuator look genuine, allthough the casting marks look rough. It's probably a Chinese copy or a k03 that's been repaired with knock off parts. Whatever it is it isn't a genuine k03s.

Post by: beppe2672 on 24 March 2013, 20:09: The only way to find out would be to fit it mate! I spent a lot of time looking at Borg Warner turbo bits before building my own hybrid, I've never seen that pattern of compressor wheel.
