Title: Replacement Clutch-MkII 1600

Mine has started to slip under load, so needs changing.

How much should this cost? Anyone recommend someone/somewhere in the essex area?

clutch parts are fairly cheap £60 - £100 depending on what you want, the labour is usually expensive though.
I've just had a Gen VW clutch fitted to my 16v, the clutch was £80 or so, but the labour came to about £150.
If you know a mechanic with the right  gear you could get it done cheaper.
