Title: turn key and no reponse-clicking sound, needles jump-dash goes blank
Post by: Jasikasisback on 21 March 2013, 18:26
this has happened twice now. i crank the key and car goes dead. before that there is a clicking sound and the needles (tach and speedo) jump very slightly. the dash goes blank and the trip counter resets. anyone knows the cause of this? bad relay? short somewhere?

i had some similar issues when a dodgey cigarette lighter kept blowing the fuse, as its on the same one as the clocks they went a bit funny with the clicking noise and screens. but then again could be the battery as everyones said

I have fiddled with the automatic transmission illumination bulb...maybe I have caused a short there...I will put in a new battery and see how it goes..at least the car is running for now...:)
