Post by: EsSeX dAn on 21 March 2013, 18:04
1999 golf 1.8t
the passenger window has pack up on my car, or so i thought. it doesnt do anything from the drivers side, but works fine from the passenger side. wgats happened here? is there any way to test the switch apart from changing it for a different one? (which i dont have)

Take off the inner door panel and firstly check the connections are good. If you have a multimeter use it to check if any voltage is coming to the switch itself :)

If you have a meter use the continuity test on the switch.  Simples.
