help!!..
I cant work out whats going on.. where the fuel feed connects to the fuel rail on a digifant....
Its leaking no matter how tight I do the jubilee clip... the pipes look brand new soi cant work it out.... (replaced by last owner its like the pipe inner diameter is just marginally too big!!!!
-
apart from getting a new correct fitting pipe. is the jubilee clip actually tightening tho? when they are knackered they'll just screw but not tighten
-
Oh yes.... Its tight! But the pipe looks right?!? Does anyone know the correct diameter pipe needed?
-
its a 5/16" pipe hope you get it sorted.
-
Cheers. Ill have to look later how long it is to replace it.
-
you will need 400mm long pipe for supply and return so buy 1m.
job to replace should take about 30mins to do.
-
I get the feeling you have done this before.. lol.. I only ever worked for Vauxhall so whilst being a mechanic.. I dont know the quirks of this vw beast.. that and its cold and im being lazy...
-
yes my pipes were in a state! turns out it burst while driving and nearly went up in a ball of fire!!
and yes before you ask made the school boy error of lifting the bonnet!
one of the pipes was rubbing against the top of the cambelt cover and had woren throught and the other was perished so replaced both.
this shoud be no problem for you to do, 10min job
