Got fronts and rears on mine not sure how legal on an E reg car though?? guy at bugjam said they'd be ok? got yellow and white ones as well just in case they're not!
-
Very illegal on an E reg car, you can legally have them on a car pre 73 (I think). I've got black and silver on my camper and there's sod all they can do about it.
-
i thought it was 79? am going to put them on mine and see what happens!
-
'73 huh ah hmm hmm I'll take em off then mebbe better do really hadn't I!!
-
legally i can run them on my car if i want as its registered in the Isle of Man (years tax is only £88 ;))
manx cars registered before 92 can run black n silver plates. i used to have them on my old white one. ill see if i can dig a pic out - its looked pretty cool with them on!!
-
(years tax is only £88 )

-
They are def pre 1973
-
i recently bought a 91 oak green 8 valve off my mate who brought it back from guernsey where he worked for a year. even though i did register it in england i still kept the black and silver plates on it. that was about three months ago!! police have noticed them, but haven't pulled me over! are these okay to leave on as the car was registered in guernsey? i'll keep 'em on til i get told/ordered otherwise!! what do you guys reckon??!
-
If it's a UK registered car then they would be illegal.
-

my plates where made by a place called http://www.a1stylegraphix.co.uk/ in scotland. near enough sure the plates where £20 delivered. real good quality plates also

-
i think there just for show, but i am not 100 per cent!
-
as long as you got orig plates inn boot or something and a way of changing them if you get pulled then its fine, just say you've been at a show and forgot to change them
-
If i were you dan i'd take em off now The police might not ask but just fine you instead  (£60) i got done a few years back for italic plates no questions asked just a fine of £30 was'nt appy
-
thats crAp! we got pulled on way back in the coupra and we just had tiny plates on from show - changed them there and then and blagged the fine!
-
Ive been pulled over plates many a time (didnt have a front numberplate for a few months)
You get a £30 fine per plate thats incorrect, However if you have two incorrect plates its a repeat offence and can land you in court  The police never really bother tho, Ive been fined before but only because i was at a cruise so it was my fault for putting my self in risk anyway.
