I was talking to a mate about respraying my car and he mention i could get it vinyl wrapped for a lot cheaper.
has anyone on here done it? or know someone who has like? what's your comments?
-
I seem a fiesta the other day wrapped and I noticed his bumper was peeling IMHO wrapping is good for when you want a roof done or something but it the weather and sun over time the wrap is plastic/rubber and it will perish over paint
-
wrapped for cheaper? most wrappers i know costs nearly double of a respray plus it only lasts 4-5 years.
-
Im ordering my wrap on wednesday. It is about 300 quid for enough wrap to do the car and then obviously if somebody else is doing it then the price.
Me and my crew are doing it ourselves so il get some snaps up as I go along if that helps?
-
do u and your crew fancy doing mine as well? i got quoted £600 labour to wrap mine...errrrr no
-
when wrapping make sure you cut it enough to stretch it over edges to prevent peeling and there is a risen you can use once all the air bubbles are removed and its been heat treated ;)

Yeah I know about that stuff already, getting the bubble free stuff for ease of use with the little hexagonal veins to let the air escape...cant wait

Can't wait to see this !! I want mine doing Amg white !!
-
I thought about white but I live on a high street so my car is always filthy so black and white are pain I. The butt. Hence grey....still don't know what shade or finish yet but either way it will look better then my current tatty paintwork

Theres a few amazing colours I do like which are swaying me, one is like a three tone mulberry colour (purple/green/navy) like on the mk2's, one is black with a silver flick but looks too much like granite so for the whole car I think it would look stupid, the matte black looks good but been done to death:

But I have narrowed it down to a few but I know its going to be the grey vinyl as in the shade it looks so moody and during the day it looks like a light camo grey - you can see what I mean when its on the rail

-
Wb like candy red or candy blue? Grey anthratic and matt black just to common and nothing wow
-
Thing is although I do want to be a bit wow but Im trying to be subtle as I live on a main road and if its too show show it will get stolen
-
Looking good. Cant wait for the end result.
