Post by: sambo1670 on 18 March 2013, 20:02
hi all got a pals golf in the garage at the moment.  its a 2.0l 2003 reg golf.  just been serviced and had cam belt replaced.  was running fine up until 2 days after service got 20 miles up the round and died.  it now wont start turns over but know starting.  managed to plug computer into it but no fault codes came up and thers no lights on the dash.  thats as far as i got this evening before work closed up.  gonna have a look tomorrow fuses and what have you.
crank sensor surely would through a fault up?
also not getting a buzzing sound from fuel pump as im sure you'd get on start up.

any help much appreciated

It should revert to cam sensor if it cant see a crank one.  A lot of cars are like that.
