Hiya chaps started car tonight and it sounded like a jet engine .revs wasnt too high .everything else is ok so not overly worried .its just its not done that before .is this something i SHOULD look into ?cheers

If it only does it until there is heat in the engine it's probably a knackered secondary air pump. Either delete it. Or do what I did and take it off and repair it using bolts instead of the rivets that are there from the factory.
Search and you will find a guide for it.

+1 for a knackered SAI!
-
Thx guys ill look to delete/repare it

On the subject of a SAI delete, is there anything else needed other than a blanking plate?
I've looked at the ultimate guide on Vortex, but as it covers PCV simplification, brake booster mod and EVAP delete as well as SAI delete I can't work out what is actually being removed for each of them :undecided:

Resistors to stop fault codes (and a bottle top to blank the hole on the air box)

Resistors for which plugs?
-
The one that plugs into it!!!

The one that plugs into it!!!
From what I've read you don't need to, it will throw up an fault code regardless of whether or not one is fitted.
-
yeah apprently it still throws the incorrect flow code, it needs to be mapped out
-
I got no codes
-
see this is why i posted about the sai removal a couple of weeks back. some people say it gives a code even with resistors and some poeple say it doesnt some people say it runs rough until you have it mapped out and some poeple say it runs better there seems to be no science to this its purely hit or miss, maybe you will be fine maybe you will have running issues and with the luck ive been having ill be the latter lol

What resistor did you use? 10w 330ohm? Other than the resistor and blanking plate nothing else is needed?
-
Yep that's the one, (heat sink one thou)
I haven't capped the hole in the air box yet (dv sounds louder now!!!) but will get round to it when I swap the turbos

sorry to go back to this again but regarding the resistors how many do i need or can i leave the n112 still plugged in with nothing going to it? also what shape are the plugs cause im ordering off urotuning and they have 2 types of plug and play resistors (oval/square) which ones do i need and how many of?
