happened on thurday 21st 9.30 pm met a polo on my side of the road both going about 45mph (60mph road)she came around a left hand corner behind anoher car and drifted into my side of the road ,no time to brake or swerve

me and the wife been in hospital most of the week she has very bad brusing and 4 broken ribs me i had broken collar bone ,ribs, and a right foot like James caan from that flim "Misery" Had it pin wih 3 pins on Monday now in plaster for 6 week before pins are removed then more plaster then lots of physo can't see me working until the new year gutting end of my show season and won't  be able to  drive my corrado for months

But this is the bit that's hard to take, she can,t remember what happened police calling it " a momentary lapse of concentration "and won't be pressing charges

so a momentary lapse of concentration equals driving on the wrong side  of the road and nearly killing us is ok by them but drifting 5 or so miles over the speed limit on a clear day with no injured bang 3 points and a fine somethings wrong somewhere

Went out with Velly and Chris and they said about it, gutted, Velly showed me all the pics and I cant believe you got out with as few injuries as you did.

Get on your shopmobility cart and we'll see you at the meet next week, If you leave on wednesday you will be there by sunday, I'm sure

  Shopmobility Rules

That's nasty.  A police prosecution wouldn't make any difference with your claim so i wouldn't worry too much about that.  The claim will be a big one though and when it goes to court the legal guys can get access to the police accident report which will stand up nicely and get her insurance paying out for any of your losses and more.
Get well soon

Get well soon mate , that looks like a fairly massive impact , and one totally amgled motor ,

like its been said someone drifting ?????? onto the other side of the road an very nerly killing to innocent people is much less dangerouse than creeping over the speed limit on a clear fine day  ?????????

The state of that car looks scarey, you must think that you are very lucky to have just had the injuries you got because that could really have been fatal !  Glad you are all ok and yet another tick against the build of VWs. Hope you get it all sorted out.

Wow thats quite a big impact. I wouldnt like to think what would of happened if you were in something else like a Ford for example. Dunno how the Police can just waver this, thats bullsh!t tbh. Stupid cow drifting on the wrong side of the road.

I nearly crashed this morning into some stupid bint @ a junction cause she went over the giveway line and deceide to stop half on the road, thats clever, suppose she had a momentery lapse eh?

Hope you and the Mrs make a swift recovery!

hope u and ann feel better soon - was shocked when velly showed me the pics.

police should have thrown the book at her tho - it really p's me off that they dont do more about idiots like her.

we had a crash with a 17yr old in a mk1 fiesta in the cavalier a few years ago - he came round the bend stupidly fast in the wet on our side and the police first assumed we had pulled out of a junction into HIS path  and then they didnt charge them with anything.  if gary hadnt swerved slightly so it wasnt head on, they would all have been goners as no seatbelts etc and then just to rub it in they put us all together in one ambulance! they had to stand for 10 miles tho with broken bones and blood everywhere, cos i had the spine board after i said i had back pain
