Title: brake disc size

I have a golf mk3 gti anniversary. Could someone please clairfy what disc size i have on the rear please?
I know my fronts are 288mm

I thought it was 226mm but acording to another post its 256mm :undecided:

Yeah could well be 226mm, definitely not 256mm.

256 is the size of KR mk2 fronts

they are 226x10 discs on all mk3's that have discs... 4 or 5 stud depending on model.

256 are on some mk2 and also mk3 - my 94 2.0 estate had 256x20 (vented) discs in the front

Well just got of the phone to tps who have said the rear disc size is 256mm :undecided: now more confusing looks like i got to go to the dealers and find out from them

226 without doubt.

Also if you put the reg in ECP 226 is listed.

As above definately 226mm, fitted some brembos from GSF to my '97 GTi last summer, only issue is they sent me 4 stud to begin with  :huh:
