Title: SFS large bore TIP
Post by: Scott D on 15 March 2013, 16:37
Has anyone fitted one of these yet and how much of a challenge was it to squeeze in?

Got one delivered today and the bore is much bigger compaired to the TIP thats on now and that was a struggle to get down to the turbo.

if its K04 then ive heard the B5 TIP is still best due to the firmer silicone used, research and development that's gone into it.

would love see a ko3 version.

you need to chop and re-route the water pipe or get one from a bam engine.

but cant wait to see it fitted.

I had a right job getting the creation motorsport one on, but good luck with that one Scott, as the others have said it'll be very close

If I hadn't cut mine down already making unusable for most people I might have considered one of them...

8-9bhp over a standard TIP should be more average gains as well

1/10 for ease of fitment

first and last time i'll ever fit one of these an absolute pig to get down and onto the turbo inlet never sweared or threw spanners as much before while fitting parts.

took me half an hour to do the previous TIP, this one took almost 4 hours.

would make installing a lot easier moving but it is just about possible to fit without

4bhp increase over the creations TIP going off liquid gauge
