Hi guys and girls,
So on the 20/12/12 I got a parking ticket in a Euro carparks run carpark. I found a 'Parking Charge Notice' on my windscreen when I stayed longer than an hour in the carpark.
I was under the idea people get these all the time and the best thing to do is just ignore them as they can't chance you up as they can't prove your the driver.
On the 21/01/13 I got a 'Notice to keeper' with an 'Outstanding balance' of £100 I ignored this too expecting to hear nothing more.
But today I opened a letter from Control Account PLC (debt collectors) with an 'Amount to pay' of £145.
I'm now pretty concerned as I never expected it to get this far. Does anyone know what the best thing is to do? Should I write a letter to Euro Car Parks asking for proof of driver?
Thanks
Willis

ECP probably won't give a toss now that they've sold your debt on to someone else.
You definitely need to see some photographics proof that you out stayed your welcome though, otherwise they can't enforce jack sh!t.

Surely it's the owner of the vehicle that gets the fine not the driver for parking fines? Obviously no-one is "driving" if it's parked!!
If you'd have paid it in the first place you could've saved yourself 40 quid.
Take it on the chin, pay the fine and take it as a lesson learned ::)
