Title: What size locking wheel nuts do I need?
Post by: Godzilla on 11 March 2013, 08:44
Thought I would get some locking wheel nuts.

So typed in 'Golf MK3 locking wheel nuts' into Ebay to be greeted with loads which is great, but they vary in size!  What size do I need for my 1997 VR6?

M14 x 1.5 thread pitch, standard bolt length is like 26mm I think, radius seeting if you have OEM alloys, tapered seat if you have aftermarket.

Thanks mate

I have aftermarket alloys. I cant find in any of the locking wheel nut adverts on Ebay if they are 'Tapered seat' ?

If they don't mention they are radius then they are most likely tapered anyway.

Can also tell by looking at them, as an example....
