Title: 1.8t running rough

when driving today I put my foot down a bit car started to run rough and eml came on flashing its like its running on 3 any help/advice appreciated

sounds like a coil-pack but get it plugged in as said  :smiley:

basics first! plugs are cheaper than a coil pack..... pull the plugs, see which one is sooty clean them up move them around.. drive the car see if the sooty one moves.. if it move sits the plug if it doesn't its further back...

not if the coil packs are due to be replaced free under recall  :smug: as some were faulty

Car booked in on Monday for free coils replacing.would knocked coil(s) explained why I'm getting a lot less mpg

Mate mines the same changed every think like maf etc and now I need a new thrmastate its driving me nuts 3 months of fixing thing and still going

Went to scrappies this morning and bought 1 coil £7 tried it on all 4 plugs and it was number 3 that was knacked car running perfect now and mpg up to average 26 around town .still booked in on Monday for all 4 replacing on recall

I phoned em and mentioned that some had been recalled she asked for reg number and said I fit category and booked me in mate

I got my coil packs done about a moth ago on warranty sorta blag ha I have a bit of paper with the codes for the ones that can be replaced!

Ill find it when I'm back at the weekend!
