how do i adjust my headlights on a 96 2.0 gti

??  I have a little rolly thing next to my headlights clicky thing...it has 3 numbers and a dash. it highens and lowers them.


(notice the level of knowledge i used in that sentence)

Not sure I can compete with Black_GTI's technical vocabulary  ;) but here goes;

I think there are a couple of knurled adjusters on the back of the lamps, one is for height and one for left-right adjustment.

Black_GTI is right that the switch on the dash where fitted is for height adjustment but the lamps should be adjusted at the lamp with this switch set to 0.
