As vw website says they will price match on servicing
It then lists a minor service for x then one with an MOT that is only listed as 40 pound more.
If you have the fixed price service plan did they do the MOT cheaper than the rrp of 55 ?
Or did they price match with people like quick fit who are advertising an MOT for 35 pound?
-
I am pretty sure my dealer does it for £35.
-
Mines booked in and they've told me it's £49 for the MOT.
-
My local VW dealer does it for either £30 or £35, can't remember which.
-
£39 for mine at the end of December
-
My dealer would do it foc providing they get to service the car every year, I still went some where else and pain for an MOT too.
-
Mine is FOC with the Service Plan, but I paid £39 for the Touran's MOT
-
£39 so quite happy with that.
Now just the Leon left to get MOTed this month.
-
Presume it sailed through OK?
-
Yes no problem.
I had it on my own lift on Sunday and checked it over before hand anyway so I knew it should.
Unlike the Leon who's exhaust needs welding, another cv boot(genuine vw ones are crap) and a rear caliper before I take that for its MOT :embarrassed:
-
Good new on the Golf but not on the Leon then!
-
39.00 quid last month at Harrogate VW.
-
I think it was £30 at Kwik fit a few weeks ago , VW service history does not mean mot's as well Shirley ?

Leon past its MOT today. I Free'ed off the caliper, welded the exhaust up, Fitted CV joint at a cost of £18 and £40 for its MOT.
Ideally it could do with a new caliper as the handbrake is still a little slow/sticky to release fully at times but it was perfectly fine when tested for the MOT by the tester.

I had my final service in January under the service plan and they charged me £49 for the MOT.
-
Just had third service under the service plan so free - (cost £200 for 3 years which seemed good value at the time). Asked for MOT price before taking it in and was quoted £35.00. Believe it is £27.50 at Halfords at the moment but easier to get both done at the same time.
-
Just got quoted £39 for mine and £59 for the three year brake fluid change.
-
Just a note if you have the £200 £250 service plan option then the brake fluid change is listed as included on the terms and conditions and whats included bit.
-
Unfortunatly no service plan here.

When I had my 3rd service under the service plan back in January I knew the brake fluid change was part of it for free but I asked to make sure. Yes they said it was free but after they serviced it I checked the service schedule and brake fluid change NO. I went back in and complained and they brought it back in to change the brake fluid, tossers.
