I wound the passenger window down yesterday and when putting it back up it dropped and got stuck, search suggests window regulator is bust but motor is fine.
So what should I get to replace, genuine or OEM copy, is there much quality/price difference?
-
Copy wont last more than a year (i should know)

£47 including vat at Gsf.
Did one in my last golf and one in the new golf yesterday which took half hour most of that was looking for the star key to remove the motor from the mechanism and the 10 minutes swearing at taking most of the skin off one finger internal door frames are sharp lol.

If by regulator you mean the mechanism, then if you by a copy wont even last you 2 months from personal experience....

Ive had a copy in the drivers door for 1 and half years still going strong, its all about lining it up properly.
-
I got one from gsf thats the one that didnt last a year.

last one lasted over 3 years till I totalled the car so I agree its about the fitting if you don't line them up correctly it puts added pressure on the wires plus there isn't much difference in them.
