just picked up a cheap 1999 tdi 90bhp golf and i here alot about deleting the EGR ... is it goin to be worth it ? does it affect mpg or performance at all... just after some opinions on it guys thanx alot.

Hoggy , i did a small search and saw your thread on it
but yours was a different bhp than mine ... i just wasnt sure it would be worth it on the 90bhp engine.
another reason i started this thread is to get a feel of the helpfully guys here and as allways the not so helpfull, as i have not been on the forum for some time.

if you go on ebay you can get egr blanks, the simply replace the bit of pipe and itll only cost about £6 for the delete

This is the one I got it does say 90 bhp models but if you email them they will confirm if it fits or not.I think there well worth the money my car seems more responsive since I fitted it. Or as said buy the delete plates spose its a lot cheaper way but I prefer the full kit.

It doesn't make a difference what bhp it is, is will be always worth doing, can't beat an engine running on cleaner air!
