Had mine for 2 weeks now, very new to PD engine after a couple of 1.8t's.
Ive had it mapped to 190/340lbft but my recent car history consists of a 330bhp Impreza and a 320bhp A6 biturbo so although the Golf is quick now.. its not enough.
What else can I do for a bit more oomph?
is there a bolt on hybrid turbo kit?
decat, panel filter (same as 1.8t arnt they?)
exhaust?
mapper said he can turn the power up more but I wanted to make sure the clutch didnt eat itself... its been fine... :)

Fit turbo from Audi 3.TDI V6; larger injectors, decat, and new map
Hello 260bhp+
Have a look at Darkside Developments
-
Basic list of requirements for 300-+BHP is:
GT2260V or better turbo <---- £3/500 ish for a good one used
Manifold for the above <---- DIY, or £750 from Darkside
Custom downpipe <---- Find a local friendly exhaust place
Bosio R783 or Firad +80% or better <---- £750 ish
High-Lift/Long-Duration Cams or serious head work <---- £600 ish for a kit from darkside, but factor in the cost of a timing belt too
SMF/Uprated Clutch conversion <---- £500 ish
LSD (this is an optional, but on 225bhp i found it made a substantial difference, and would highly suggest getting on as battling with 350lb-ft on an open-diff just doesn't work well) <---- £800 ish, but add price of gearbox rebuild
FMIC, Allard or Forge have given the best results so far, associated pipework, and a 4 bar map sensor <---- £300-800 depending on new/used etc
Mapping <---- £3-400 ish?
And running that much power/torque will give a lot of punishment to the running gear etc, so you need to factor things like uprated brakes (312s front, 256s rear at a minimum), better ARBS and suspension to keep the wheels on the ground, etc etc
Dare I say you won't get much from it with out spending £2k. MPG makes everything better my friend

A lot of effort and money to put into a golf! :undecided: My next car will quite possibly be the A6 Quattro 3.0 V6 TDI. Luxury and powahhh all set up and ready to go!
