Tried setting the co and idle with red lead disconnected and isv breather blocked at airbox and hose when warm.
I then started the car and it idles roughly at around 400-450 rpm and dies when i give it a poke! so I started to turn the idle screw to increase the idle and it stayed at 450   :embarassed:
All I can think is when I had it set up by a mobile mechanic I'm pretty sure he set it up with the red lead connected and definitley with the breather all connected up, so nipped to garage at lunch and CO is sat at 2 when warm EH I don't get it!
Could this be one of the reasons my car is so fuel hungry and running poo!!?
If not she's going for a Tune, Check and rolling road on Wednesday by someone who said he loves the old 16v K-jet so maybe I'm wasting my time but really bugging me iks there an o-ring or anything that could have perished?
Help!!

it sounds like your ignition timing is out. that would be exactly what your describing. have you been fiddling with the dizzy lately?
you know the way you can advance and retard by rotating the dizzy?? well that sounds like you problem

Only time the timing has been changed is when the mobile mechanic set it up I'm not fiddling with that bit :D timing is something I always c*ck up!!!
Maybe he set it wrong well I'll take it to the garage for a rolling road and fettle they even have the gear for the k jet to reset my brain ;)
