Hi there new account as my old details was lost/forgotten some time ago.
Been into golfs for the past 12 years,in that time I've managed to own 9 golfs gti,vr6,8v,16,mk2,mk3,mk4 mrs has mk5 tdi and i now drive an s3 daily. But I still hadn't accomplished my goal of converting a mk2 golf to a 1.8t.
About 4 years ago I had the opportunity to buy a mk1 golf that a friend had thrown a few thousand at and lost interested, this was the perfect opportunity for me as,I had just finished buying a property that came with 2 single garages out back,so I waved bye bye to my 16v mk2 golf, and along came my mk1 2.0 16v.
After putting the car on the road and taking it out for a few weekends I became quite quickly board of the power and was back to square one but with a solid base.THE CAR THEN SAT FOR 3 YEARS
Since this years has started all focus has gone back on the golf again 16v been removed 1.8t installed.
