Post by: danmusic24 on 06 March 2013, 19:30
after fitting coilovers i cant seem to get rid of the rear mounts squeaking?
fitted new febi mounts...how tight would you tighten the top nut? done mine with a battery impact?
could they be to tight?

having them really tight wont make them squeak as the the shaft sits below the washer that's on top of the bearing so you can not compress the bearing its self,i would undo the top nut ,jack it up and spray some wd up  there as its probably the dry rubber sqeeking against the painted steel.

I had the same issue with mine.
Replaced the little cups below the nuts, and they've been fine ever since.

Coilovers do seem to make things squeak at the front and back, i spray a bit of white grease on when assembling which seems to work.
