Title: Mk4 gti turbo (aum)

Hi guys car been running rough for a while now and seems well down on power idles erratic etc. after a bit if checking I've noticed the Y shaped breather pipe that comes from the rocker cover is split the whole way round .could this be the reason why it's running like this ? Also why management light is on thanks in advance any help/advice appreciated

Ok thanks is this bit of pipe on all mk4 golfs ?thinking of getting 1 from scrappies cheers

When i changed mine it made it run loads better.Expensive little hose that,but it is blue :cool: :undecided:

I upgraeded mine to a silicone one from creation motor sports cost about £22 delivered.

Not all 1.8ts have this pipe IIRC...the earlier versions dont that is for sure

clean your throttle body aswell mate, mine runs smooth as hell now ive cleaned the throttle body

Yeah some have the Y one and others have 2 seperate pieces
