Got this on a motorway run a few weeks ago in my MK6 (1.4 TSI 'Match') & 2nd picture is my range out of a full tank of Shell V-Power.
So what's your typical MPG on e.g urban or motorway trips?

My GTI will do a max of 47 on the motorway sitting at ~70 and my usual urban drive 30-32, but more to the point why is your dash so dirty when you post so much on DW?? :-X
-
My dash is dirty because I had the window down when on the motorway & it's probably all the dust from outside that's drifted inside the car? :undecided:

Interesting that your trip computer is different than mine. Whats the little symbol in the km/h row and also my average mpg has an average symbol next to it. And I get approx 56mpg at the moment on the GTD. My video of obtainable mpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8YzHy-nxLg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8YzHy-nxLg)
This is the bluemotion golf I had as a hire car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOiTFUqu0wY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOiTFUqu0wY)

That symbol next to the km/h row is the bluetooth symbol which I had switched on at the time.
What year is your GTD as that may mean that the setups are different?

According to Fuelly, I'm averaging 22.5 mpg lol

Should have closed the window it would have improved your mpg further

Is yours DSG by any chance? As im getting slightly better than yours and that would make sence if so from past experience with the mk5's

It's a manual mate, how much better is yours? You've got me worried now...

18-22mpg around town
24-32mpg in country road/motorway driving.
Sub 10mpg on track

only by a couple of mpg but that could be road conditions. DSG in general is 10% less from experience.

April 2010, my bluetooth only shows up in the pages to the right for the phone stuff.

Just got to 51000miles now.
-
I recently did a 300 mile round trip 80% motorway 20% A rounds/city driving and got 56 MPG indicated on the obc from my 2.0 TDI (GT 140)
-
Best I've managed on a "decent" journey, (Hampshire to South Wales, around 130 miles), was 58.1 MPG in my 2009 GTD Manual. Mostly motorway driving. Overall average over the 5000 or so miles I've done since buying it is nearer 48 MPG. But then I'm a bit of an old-timer and I'm often more interested in getting a high MPG than having fun with the car.

Old photo I know..

12 mile journey. 50mph few stops.
Current average is 36.3 mpg for the last 3400 miles. With bluefin.
It was a one off and I won't do it again, promise. :embarrassed:
