334 R32?

That what I'll be running with the 6 pot Q7 calipers and there a good size.

Its just about finding carriers to suit, if you make custom ones you can make any calliper fit any size disc, with in reason.

Oh so you don't have to use the standard disk size for the caliper??

So what pads would be used the ones for the caliper?

Wouldn't they overhang the disk??

Don't really know brakes lol

Yeah you can go bigger or smaller but not to extremes will just make your breaking worse, the carrier size has to make sure that the pads will be on the right place on the disc.

Yeah can only use whatever pads fit the caliper

So will I have to get carriers made up then??

Don't go bigger than you need to. Disks are super heavy. Go for a happy medium with X calliper.

Not for definite you can find some depend on your disc/caliper combo. As said you dont want to get massive heavy discs as well as you dont want to get a to big caliper to master cylinder combo. Sure I read that 4 pots work best with our master cylinder but loads of people run 6 pots fine.

What brakes are you aiming on buying? Just tell us...

LCR 4 pots? No, wait, too small for 360, or are they? Just get some LCR 4 pots, will be more than enough, and probably cheaper than what you are thinking of.  :undecided:

DB9 4 pot rears

Just threw up in my mouth.

What brand are they? Loads of 'super cars' have similar LCR 4 pots just with said car name stickered on.

I only ever throw up in my mouth for 2 reason: Too much alcohol, or because I'v just heard something amazing!

Just get 334 discs or what ever the LCR use!

Haaaaa!!! Dunno if it'll be too much aggro to use thou ill see what they're like when I got them.... If I get them.....

So 334 will be enough then? And I know I'm gonna be abused for this next comment but... can I fit my 288 fronts to the rear??

I think you can, but would take a lot of effort. Just get the 256 upgrade on the rears. Should be plenty.

Yeah it a bit to much effort sorting the hand brake and bits to put the on the rears. As said you can pick up the 256mm setup pretty cheap these days.

If they are the same brembos as the lcr front then at least it should be quite easy sourcing carriers. The discs are 323mm ive got some lying around somewhere they are used but I'm sure they have a fair bit of life in them. Doing a garage clean out and hey are taking up space so you can have them if you want them mate just let me know

the carriers just need spacing, i had to use a 7mm spacer on my lcr brembo carriers so i could use 328mm discs.

Nice one!!!

The db9 ones won't fit (the caliper doesn't have a carrier and the holes are a few mm off)

Gonna check the db7 ones tomorrow thou
