Only got the car Friday and today the emissions light has come on.
There is no loss of power nor is there any change to the sound of the engine.
I've googled this and it could be a sensor in the exhaust? How do I check this.
-
sounds like the lambda sensor.
which one if the emissions light out of curiosity
-
Same light as the dude on this video.

oh, i always thought that was the engine management light.
I had it on my golf, plugged in a code reader, cleared faults and not come back........yet
-
Says in my manual that it's the emissions light. Engine management is EPC light?
-
That is your engine management light, plug a code reader in. You'll get used to the light coming on I assure you. It's probably best to invest in a cheap ebay code reader (£20).

Looked at the leads on ebay but can't find one that's compatible with windows 7. Any ideas?
