Title: Early mk3 cabby central locking pump location?
Post by: jiminbmth on 03 March 2013, 16:50
ok,so I have central locking and wanting to fit my remote central locking, which needs to be connected to the pump, but I cant find where it is located? tried in boot under rear light and pulled back covers both sides..nothing?
can anyone tell me if this came as standard on the avant-garde,if so what type and where it is? :undecided:
Im starting to think it was fitted later and located in doors?
cheers in advance

Yer thanx bud, that was the first place I looked,as this is where it is on my other later cabby(96p,oval side indicator model)  but on this one (94m) its not there! definitely got central locking tho
The one BIG difference is that on the early one, when i turn the key to lock,it is an instant clunk, then both doors lock,on the later one, there is more of a whurl (pump)type noise??
done some research, both came standard with c/locking,must be a different system tho?
didnt want to take door cards off to look as fearful of breaking plastic clips as I havent got spares yet,how else to check? anyone know more knowledge on cabbys specs?

Might be worth asking the mk2 boys, as the early ones might be like mk2s.???
