Title: Hose Identification and is this the problem?
Post by: jcook6788 on 03 March 2013, 16:00
Good afternoon knowledgeable folk,

I was wondering if I could get some assistance identifying this part. I will be replacing it so if anyone could help with the part number, name and best place to buy that would be great!

I found the crack in the pipe while attempting to diagnose a problem. My car engine cuts randomly...

1st time was after filling with petrol got in and wouldnt start- then started after 5 mins rest

2nd 3weeks later engine cut pulling up at a round about - started again after 15mins rest

3rd (today) cut again going up to a round about - restarted 5mins after and then cut off again this time while driving at 60mph. Revs just dropped to zero.

This hole in the tube is recent as there is a small pipe above that looks to have melted through. could this be causing the engine problem? if not, does anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance guys

that won't be helping the running of the car but i dont think its the cause of the car failing to start. looks like an agu engine, crank sensor issues are pretty common on those.. that'll stop them starting for a few minutes
