just need to clean them up and get new disks (suggestions please!!!!) and paint them red (cheers grant)
-
Just get solid Brembo, cheap even direct from them and are good, run them all round on mine.
Been looking at big brake kits, but they aren't cheap
-
Just checked, they are really well priced.... But what disks standard or max grooved??
-
Grooved tend to eat pads up quicker.
-
I went solid, yes grooved look cool, but they do chew pads
-
standard it is then.......mind you, is there any advantage in stopping ie are the disks actually better???
sometimes i think i dont drive it enough to worry about pad wear!! (oh btw im on 80k now haha)
you think there is enough meat on those pads?
when you say solid?.....
-
The way your mileage goes up they good for another 5years
-
hahaha done 8k in 3 years!!!!
-
tbh your car spent long off the road
-
Drilled and grooved disks are more suited to a track cars where you will be braking heavily corner after corner. The Benefits I believe are that they dissipate heat quick, therefore you should get less brake fade under heavy loads. Also maybe something about channelling brake dust away for the track pads which give off more 'dust', if you know what I mean.
Standard disks for road use will be more than fine.
-
Standard won't be fine with a hybrid, you want fast road at the very least and 312mm disks, my 288mm disks, get very hot when braking from my stage 2 and I'm running brembo with EBC red stuff pads, that's why i am looking at some kind of big brake kit, Cayenne setup probably
-
Lol, that is what you get from not reading all the posts! :lipsrsealed:
If you are going big you should get some decent pads and disks for sure!
-
They are 312's!!! And I'm not a mad driver so ill prob just go with ungrooved then whilst funds are low!!!!
-
Gave them a good clean with a wire brush and started giving coats of paint thanks to grant
Left has had 2 coats, the right just one, think 3-4 coats will be spot on
