Title: Rattle noise from engine

Hi i just bought a 2 litre gti (non turbo) as a little project to fix up and the engine makes this loud rattle noise ?

Also it says warning oil pressure on the dash ive found the the oil pick up was blocked, i cleanned that but its still the same has done 120,200 miles. Also found some metal in the sump but i dont know if its from the sump being rethreaded. But the bits i found are magnetic and oviously its a ali sump ?

Im think its guna be best to put a second hand engine in does anyone have any other ideas ?

I would say lack of oil pressure knackered your engine mate it sounds top end

so whats best just get a second hand engine ? luckily the car only cost £380 so should hopefully cost me to much in the long run
