i just bought one of these and the design seems solid enough, yet to put it on cause the garage has my car but the only thing i can see wrong with it is inside where both the inlet and outlet are very close together so the possibilty or any vapours or fluids may not be caught in the can fully. What i was gonna do with mine is mount a thin piece of metal between the inlet /outlet of the can and fill it with wire wool

i see so it will catch the vapours,so might be worth a shout then ?

i think its worth the money, the only reason people go for the more expensive ones is because of the 19mm inlets, what ive got for mine is a small length of 15mm I.D. hose to go to the catch then a 20mm-16mm reducer then the rest is 19mm oil hose with a t-piece chucked in there, all tightened up with some jubilee clips. thats the plan anyway. I did ask a garage about using 15mm inlets and a small amount of hose and they said there would be no problem as generally the original hoses are so gunked up with crap theyre pratically 12mm if not worse.

wouldmt the 15 mm hose do anyway as its only vapour going throught the hose or is the 19mm better i would profer to keep it all the same diameter so it looks neat and tied.

dont know about making it all 15mm but either way your gonna need reducers/enlargers because the connections on the 90 degree bend on top of the oil housing, the crank breather and the hockey puck valve are all 19mm from what i was reading. Better to make one small bit at the catch can 15mm and the rest 19mm but im sure someone whos done the catch can will say yay or nay either way lol

same one as i have, on the inlet/outlet i just put a rubber sleve on to make the 19mm fit onto it.... works a treat

does any oil still get into your TIP? i thought with the inlet/outlet being so close together and no divider that fluid would get sucked back through before getting a chance to hit the wall of the can

as long as youre having to empty it id say its doing a beter job than the standard system. I'll be filling mine with some wire wool just to help catch particles and what not lol

im worried about the wire wool breaking up and getting sucked thru the turbo

They dont get that hot the cans do they.

Might just seal the divider not got a tack welder

I dont think they get very hot, just as hot as the engine bay would get i just like to know that if i do something i dont need to check it again and with sealant or any kind of adhesive id be wondering if it was still in place lol just me being weird

somethin i tried ages ago!!! 15mm pipe but holes need drilling into it... put this on the side when the vapours come in and it should work fine.... only thing is the thread needs extending as i dont know how much thread is sticking thru once theyre put into the top of the can

Go to a machining place and get them to make you some adapters that have the correct thread but 19mm and then you don't need to use adapters or anything, looks much better imho
