Post by: madsb on 01 March 2013, 16:07
Hey :)

Bought a remote central locking kit... Where do I connect it for power?

Cheers.

Theres a DIY guide in the Maintenance section. Where are you installing it? If in the boot, use the red/white wire from the central locking pump loom.

The thing is, that I don't have central locking already. I need to install all the actuators too and stuff.. So is my only possibility to connect to the + terminal on the battery? Can't i use the cigarette lighter plug in some way?

don't know about ciggy plug but I just had to get a 12v feed from the battery for my sub- if you remove the glovebox and the piece of plastic outside between the bonnet and the windscreen on the passenger side there's a grey bung you can remove and feed your cable through there if you wish
