Title: Parts from volksbits
Post by: spudboy6 on 26 February 2013, 23:33
Anyone on here other than me have any complaints about volksbits parts ?

just abit annoyed with them really as everything i have purchased from them has either failed in 6months or been faulty from day one .

i purchased top mounts and bearings - they wore out in under 6months , i emailed them and to warranty them they want me to send them back which is all good and well but i cant have the car in bits for weeks whilst they have the part checked for miss use ect and to see how it failed to then say sorry a badger fitted it causing them to fail and me being sh!t out and buying new ones ,

second was the ignition switch , arse of a job on a mk3 have to have the collum out , fitted and plugged in and was all fine but then the car was running the lights , wipers ect wouldnt work unless the plug was held in , after a fiddle new ignition switch had a lose terminal in it , not prepared for all that hassle again a cable tie went round it ,

third was the reverse switch , fitted it and couldnt get the car in to reverse after , removed the switch car then went in to reverse , re fitted again and all was fine , then realised the reverse lights didnt come on until you actualy moved even if your in reverse nothing until you moved , then after a couple of months i now have no reverse lights at all ( have checked fuse and bridged terminal 100% sensor )

im fed up of it now and wont be buying anything else from them as i cant be bothered with 6months later needing to replace the part again even though they say this is all OE stuff !

rant over !

To be fair that was the first part I ever ordered and even that was kack , the dipstick isn't very tight in the holder (orange tube ) needs a small o-ring for that perfect fit

come to think of it the dipstick is difficult to get in it now and the first time i fitted it and pushed the dipstick right in when i tried to remove the dipstick the whole tube came off the metal pipe lol oh well ill be avoiding them now haha

My latest and last purchase arrived from them today a front splitter and even that is a lose fit (although JOM make I'm still holding them responsible )

Won't be purchasing from them again will replace all these duff parts, bag them up and send them all back
