My car has done limited miles in the last few months...and it appears to be not to happy with being re-used!
I got an Engine Check Light and Limp Mode yesterday afternoon.
A scan with VCDS revealed a N249 problem.
Anyone had similar or know anything about it?
I cleared it and will see if it comes back, before a trip to the dealer.

Sounds too me like your dv valve has split.
I would remove it and check if it was me. It's only 3 screws and a plug.

When my boost valve was split i didn't get any check engine lights on or limp mode ?
i just felt it was under powered and not boosting correctly, so the boost valve was my 1st port of call for inspection,
i would maybe check the wiring to it 1st as i have read somewhere that these have been getting stretched and splitting,
No check engine light on mine or limp mode when this happened to me ?

I've reset the fault and drove the car today, with no limp mode.
I'll check for faults later.
It's under warranty still, so if the fault comes back, I'll book it in.

If it was me i would get under there and check its not like its that hard once you get under there.
You can see its location on my thread.

I had a crawl under today to check:
The wiring is OK, not broken, cut or stretched.
The DV is a 'G' revision. Is this the latest type?
There appears to be no splits/stickiness in the DV.
The fault hasn't come back either...so I wonder if a long period of sitting has left something a little sticky, and it's freed off as soon as it's got properly hot and seen some proper boost.
All very odd.

Hopefully just a glitch, sticking valve as you say, sounds like it needs a good blast out sticking to speed limits of course
I replaced mine with Rev D so it's the latest version as far as I know
