Seen a set of BBS RM. Spec is 7Jx15, ET36. They were originally 5x114, But have been re-drilled to 5x100. is that safe?
There on ebay: 221192791415
I would really like to get these, But seller is in poland? Shall i stay well clear or go for it??
Also i have MK3 Longbeaches at the moment. If i was to get these, would i need to roll me arches?
Longbeaches are 6.5J, ET 43 or ET42, Not sure tbh.
and the BBS 7J, ET36? What do you think and what tyre size would i need to run. In Reality it'll be out by 7MM, But then there 7J??
I have 205/50/R15 on car now.
Please advise??

The will fit fine, best to use 195/50/15's however I have never sure on redrilling, all depends on who did the work etc.

Does anyone know what the centre bore on a MK3 GTi is?

Thanks Pal. I've messaged the seller, asking what the Centre bore is. Also i'm getting a gut feeling that the wheels will look lost in the arches. The dish is not that deep?
Look at the second picture, and have a look at the bolt pattern. 5x114 look really big circles, 5x100 look tiny circles? :undecided:

I'm guessing that they we're originally for a Japanese car being 5x114 or maybe some kind of bmw
I personally wouldn't touch these! re drilling is not the answer to get wheels to fit imo
-
Best thing about the rm is there are plenty of dishes about. Buy some bigger ones
-
Hhmmmm the drilled holes do look kind of small, would be worth asking what size the holes are, they need to be 14.1mm minimum, since the VW wheel bolts are 14mm.
They look like they have been done to a fairly good standard and I personally wouldn't be too concerned about weakening of the wheels or anything like that when it comes to professional re-drilling
-
Well the seller has got back to me saying the centre bore is: 57mm. will that .1 make a difference?. Still need to ask about what size the bolt holes are?

£150 postage on some wheels that could potentially not fit properly... FCUK THAT!!

LOL, True, Thank You for opening my eyes. I aint buying them now

I would buy them and use PayPal. If they don't fit the seller has to refund your money
I've done it with a race engine, bloke said it was very good etc. I used it and thought it was crap. Started a dispute on PayPal saying false advising etc and got a fall refund. Seller didn't want to refund me but PayPal said I was right and took the money from him.
I love PayPal

Yeah i see what you mean. But i'd rather just sit on the money and wait for something better to come along. Rather than forking out, then finding that they dont fit and going through the trouble trying to get me money back. :smug:

Suit yourself. I would buy them, fit bigger dish and rock a killer stance.
